Yoga has a strange power. The pose, meditation, and the breathing can lead people to a comfortable state, both physically and psychologically.
It is similar to art. By feeling each art piece with your eyes, ears, and skin, your imagination expands and you can really understand what the artist is trying to convey. That is a comfortable moment.
Both yoga and art touch people's heart and affect the way they live or their outlook on the world. They are both natural therapies that refine your soul and make you feel more complete.
To let people experience yoga and art at the same time, Ouchi Gallery came up with the idea of merging both.

Maki Itami Bio:Maki Itami is a certified vinyasa yoga instructor through OM YOGA CENTER in NYC and holds a certification in prenatal yoga training with Janice Clarfield , as well as a certification in Kid's yoga training through Karma Kid's Yoga Studio.
Not only Asana practice, her interest in yoga philosophy helps her in her everyday life.
As her practice grows, the more she learned to be creative in teaching and adjusting to meet student's needs and abilities.
Through her teaching, she wants to share the subtle moment which comes to indivisuals randomly.
She is also a jazz singer and eventually planing to combine the voice training with yoga asana.
She currently teaches at a few studios in Manhattan.
