Miho

She started her career as a professional hair stylist in Tokyo and moved to Harlem in January 2005, studied more about black hair at an African hair braiding salon on 125st, near Fifth Avenue. "First of all, nobody believed that a Japanese hair stylist can braid black hair." says Miho but, as a Japanese, her dexterous skills and perfected techniques soon got acknowledged and now she is well-known by the women in Harlem. Her move to the neighborhood was a unique one:"There are many beauty supply stores where they sell the hair. Just looking around those stores makes me feel excited and happy." She's currently pursuing her career in the field of TV, magazines, runway fashion shows and art events.
